BLOS tactical voice

SATCOM offers new BLOS capabilities to helicopters for communications on the move (COTM). Through the ingenuity of our partners, Inmarsat and Spectra, and our own significant experience, Eclipse Global Connectivity offers equipment and airtime to deliver tactical BLOS communications. The solution includes a system called SlingShot which converts in-service tactical UHF and VHF radios to L-band satellite service.  This allows defense helicopters to use L-TAC, Inmarsat’s tactical satellite service.

High data rate services for video transmission and IP-Connectivity

Like many other platforms, helicopters often need to securely transmit video data, and use high-speed connectivity. We offer a number of rotary-wing specific solutions including Honeywell High Data Rate (HDR) for helicopters, and the Cobham X-Stream upgrade, which significantly reduces IP-packet loss, caused by helicopter blades.

Iridium voice, SBD & tracking
